CH. Piggytail 'N' Rogue's Castiel of Tefft  "AKA" Cass
"Cass" is our new CH boy finished completely by me as Owner Handled as of March 18, 2018 . When I knew Bentley was ready to retire I went to his breeder for my next boy. Since I was only able to see Cass and his brother through pics I would look again and again for 8 weeks before I chose. Every time I would choose Cass even when he wasn't named in the picture. It was meant to be. In November 2016 I entered him in his first show. He was in the 6-9 month puppy dog class. On the first day which was Thursday he took BOB his first time ever showing. If one bitch had showed up he would have gotten the crossover points and a first major! Not too shabby. I wasn't able to show him Friday but Saturday and Sunday he again took BOB to get both of his majors the 2nd second and third time he was shown.
All of our Pugs are tested for PDE to minimize the chances of it developing as much as possible. However, not carrying the marker does not mean 100% protection. Many factors can come into play. I highly recommend minimizing the amount of chemicals or pesticides dogs are exposed to through application of topical flea meds or year round heartworm preventative. I use those on an "as needed" basis. I am also very careful of the chemicals a dog may be exposed to in the treatment and care of lawns or fields.  Each one of the things mentioned can compromise or damage the immune system causing under or over reaction. I am also a huge proponent of giving my dogs fresh or cooked fruits and vegetables. They also eat brown rice, quinoa, oats and several other grains. Raw meat and cooked. A variety of foods!!! My dogs have never had issues with a special diet or allergies.
